Floor jack location

Can someone please watch this YouTube video I created and tell me if I am okay to use the K member arm as a floor jack location point.

Thank you

If you are only looking to lift one wheel at a time, I would place the jack pad under the control arm to lift it.

Thank you, Ltngdrvr, when you say control arm are you talking were it connects to the K-Member. if not than were should I go on the control arm? That spot that I was thinking was a motor mount is not that is were half of the control arm connects to.

No, I would place it as far outboard as possible without interfering with the tire/wheel, that way you are lifting as little as possible.

If you put the jack near the mounting point on the frame you will have to jack the car up a lot more to get the tire off the ground.

You only need to get the tire off the ground about an inch to easily get it off and back on the car.

I use the k-member. It's fine.

I wouldn't recommend using the control arms. I know people who have bent their control arms by using them as jack points.
