Same lol, took my gf's dad for a ride, punched it in 2nd, caught him mid-sentence. Didn't say another word till I let up, oh 3.73's........
Sounds like it may just of been. I had floored it and went from about 55 to 90 and it certainly wasn't slow by any means but it didn't give me or my wife the pucker factor that I was hoping for. I really need to be taken out in a manual and feel the difference from the auto.
it truly is amazing how the v8 guys get all pissy when a v6 guy makes a comment like this.
I'm happy with my 8, never test drove a 6, I might head in and drive a 6 manual just to see how it feels. In the end I'm sure both cars will be awesome.

I drove a six before I bought my gt and really liked it. The sound of the 8 was the deal breaker for me. It's like ice cream and a super model in the same bowl.
Lol. It's crazy because I really wasn't trying to offend anyone by my first test drive of the 5.0 and certainly don't think the V6 model is the end all be all. Like the V8 the V6 model doesn't really wake up until you hit that 4k rpm. Although with the right tune, the V6 really wakes up low end as well. The sound of the V8 is second to none and your only gonna get that from a V8. I do think that when it comes to engine and exhaust for a v6, I think the mustang sounds the best.

I haven't ever tracked my car and for me looking to have a 600 plus HP car is not my goal. I'll be completely happy with my modded 11 sixer. It ain't slow by any means! I may track the car one time in Cecil County just to see what the little sixer will do. I would be happy being able to run a 13.2 or 13.3 in the 1/4. I think that is a realistic time with the mods on the car.
