Finally drove an '11 today

I couldn't stand it anymore and went and drove an '11 V6 today just to see the difference. And, of course, it was a lot of difference.

I don't need to go fast... and really don't need any more power... but I sure as hell shoulda waited the three weeks or however long it was for the '11s to hit the lot last March when I bought the '10. So we learn.

Coulda bought that '11 today for invoice minus rebates, but I would've taken a huge hit on the '10... so I guess I'll stick to my original plan of waiting on the anniversary edition, and then go big.

Another local dealer still has a black/black '10 GT premium MT with appearance package and no spoiler if anybody is interested...

Different dealers. I think I'll go over there and ask after the GT this morning. Just for fun. Obvioulsy GT premium sticker was quite a bit more than the '11 V6.

Cool

Don't feel too badly about your descision.
I drove the 2011 before I got a 4.0 V6.
I thought that for daily driving in traffic, the extra power at medium to high RPMs was not all that useful.
I found a loaded 4.0 with only a few miles on it for over 10K less than a 2011.
I rarely find it lacking, but I do have the 4.6 V8 also if I really want a speed junkie fix.

That's the way I figured it also. I do find a bit of comfort knowing that the resale value on an '11 V6 is only negligibly more than the '10. And my '10 with the exhaust kit does sound better than the stock '11. Also haven't reset the on-board mileage computer in several months, and it's sitting at 25.7 MPG... which ain't bad for 60% city driving.
