exhaust void warranty?

This is my first car and I'm going to start modifying it. My 1st mod is going to be an exhaust, but I wanted to make sure beforehand that it wouldnt void my warranty? Sorry for the rookie question..

As long as the exhaust wasnt the cause for your car breaking, then youre fine.

Guys on here can tell you no it won't void the warranty, but at the end of the day the dealership is one that decides that. If they say it voided your warranty when it clearly didn't, then you're looking at getting a lawyer just to push it through. Seems like a giant hassle to me.

Aftermarket parts will not automatically void any of your warranties, guys. However, if they cause a concern, that specific repair will not be covered. You can refer to your Warranty Guide on page 13 for further info. You should always speak to your Ford dealer (preferably the one who’ll be servicing your vehicle) first about installs.

Axle backs will only void the warranty for the parts they are replacing. They in no way will harm the powertrain. I have had exhuast systems on almost all of my mustangs.

Much thanks to the Ford Customer Service for responding. I'd take their response as over any one elses, as it can be taken to the dealer as "official" and any other would be "babbling".
