Lost one in my mother-in-law's Mini's engine bay. That thing is shoehorned into that engine bay - not sure how you can do almost anything on it without dropping the motor!

Lol.

I'm not as creative! I left the trunk liner off and drove for 2 days. I popped the trunk one afternoon and thankfully it had fallen out and was easy to find. (2nd part of the challenge)

I found a hex head socket today sticking out of my splash shield that I droped 5 weeks ago when changing the TB.
I thought it was a goner but there it was sticking out and saying take me back to the tool box!

Not a socket and not on the mustang, but this rode around on the truck for a few months

I lost the green retaining clip that attaches the tranny vacuum line to the air intake when installing my Steeda cold air intake.

Took a flashlight and looked to no avail. Hopefully it's on top of the splashguard and will be found the next time the oil is changed.

Used a skinny zip in it's place for the time being.

I got a worse one: losing one of the spoiler bolts inside the decklid. It rattles around as you drive. Lol
