Electronics Package Option questions

It will shift around a bit going through sharp curves, but it has not been a problem. It is suspended in two 1" wide web strap loops that hang on heavy duty twist ties. We used it on a road trip from Western Washington to near Dallas, TX for Christmas. I suppose it could be further 'restrained', but so far is okay. The price is certainly right. I already had the tablet and it has all but completely replaced my laptop. The tablet and case were about $300 new. I had the web straps and just cut two pieces and stitched them into loops. I have her setup to give me turn voice instructions in Italian.

If she's ever talking too much, you can interrupt her by pressing the VOICE COMMAND button while she's talking.
Thanks Kim- that works perfectly... much better!
I think my next question is obvious... which button do I press to perform the same function for the wife and kids?

Kim thank you and your team with the FORD IN-VEHICLE TECHNOLOGY TEAM for all the help with SYNC and the audio system. Is there anyone that can answer questions about the Shaker systems in our "13 and "14 cars? Amp output? Sub amp output? Sub amp output stereo or mono? There are tons of questions like this.

Has anyone tried following the instructions below? I can interrupt Samantha by pushing the voice command button (as indicated). However, when I say "Voice Commands" followed by "Interaction Mode Advanced," the system says it doesn't recognize the command (all it allows me to do is turn on/off lists). Is there a particular screen you have to be in to make this command sequence work (or are there buttons you can select on the screens to disable confirmation prompts)?
Follow these steps to get the least feedback from the SYNC voice (Samantha).
1. Press the VOICE COMMAND button on the steering wheel and say VOICE SETTINGS > INTERACTION MODE ADVANCED.
2. Press the VOICE COMMAND button and say VOICE SETTINGS > CONFIRMATION PROMPTS OFF.

I've been reading through the manual (as Kim suggested :^), and actually learned something! I've always started up Pandora on my phone, then synched up the radio to the phone.
Turns out all you have to do is get in the car, say "Mobile Applications," then say "Pandora." Poof- Pandora starts up in a couple seconds. That's MUCH easier.
If you're just getting out of the car to fill up or something, you can just leave Pandora running on the phone get back in and repeat the two verbal commands.
Samantha still talks too much for my liking (e.g., I wish I could just say "Climate [ding] Temperature [ding] Seventy" and be done- but she insists on announcing what I just told her every time. Oh well, I'll just adapt.

I gotta hear mine in English (even though I speak Spanish). You're a brave soul to pick Italian (unless you're quite fluent). I was in the Netherlands a few years back and the car we drove had nav in Dutch. Took awhile to start understanding the basics (since I don't speak Dutch) - LOL.

Thanks for the info, but that's the old shaker system. The output and amps are different on the 2013s and 2014s. I sent Kim an IM. Man, the specifics on the audio is so secret I'm going to get Edward Snowden working on it!
