Man, this thread is funny. If you bothered to disconnect skip-shift, under what scenario would you want to reconnect it? If connector corrosion really is a concern and your hella-tyte tape skillz y0! aren't up to snuff, I recommend that you slide the protective sheath back a few inches and cut and tape one of the leads to the connector on the two-wire harness. Leave the other wire alone and leave the plug connected to the transmission solenoid.

If you ever want to reconnect this feature, it's a relatively simple thing to patch the wire with a little solder and a piece of shrink tube and if you're clever, the repair will be under that protective wire sheath in order to fool the Barret-Jackson guys when your "all original" car goes up for auction in 50 years. (Sorry, I can't stop the sarcasm some days. )

Really though, cutting a wire is a legitimate answer and I think much preferable to the risks of a home made transmission plug or the cost of buying extra connectors.

...ned.

Is yours unplugged? If so, it still shows on the dash.

If not unplugged, it only kicks in under certain rpm/speed/gears.....

i am surprised no one has come up with a $10 connector to go between the cable and the transmission so the cable can remain neatly connected to something but no signal transmitted through. i just wouldn't like the idea of it hanging free or even zip ties.

It usually does it for me under very light throttle, like when I'm stuck behind someone after a red light going very slow. Doesn't really bother me.

Never bothered me but for a couple of times mainly during a corner behind a slower car...go to accel and it is a dog... Unplugging and tied out of the way ends that possibility of happening plus I wonder if that solenoid creates any other issues inside.

Do the 2011 GT500's have the same skip-shift feature??

Mine tends to shift fine during normal city driving, but when at the dragstrip...i tend to have difficulty shifting gears....1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th
