Dot 3 or Dot 4 as the factory fill on Track Pack cars?

I've done a couple searches and can't find the definitive answer, but does anyone know for sure whether Track Pack cars are filled with Dot 3 or Dot 4 brake fluid from the factory? I'm going to be a doing a hot lap event on Friday at VIR and it was suggested to flush the fluid for some Dot 4 before the event, just to be safe. But I couldn't help but wonder if Ford gave the Track Pack cars Dot 4 at the factory since it has other things like 5w-50 oil, low expansion brake lines, etc.

Haven't ever heard they get DOT4 so wouldn't count on it.

Factory filled with DOT 3 per my research. If you are running VIR do the flush. Do Motul RBF600. You'll want 3 bottles.

I suggest flushing the clutch too and abs if you can get out in some wet weather or on a dirt road! It's worth it to have brake peace of mind.

Thanks for info. I've never done an event like this so I don't know how hard/fast we'll be driving. It's an event where you're lead by a pace car and there is no passing permitted, but I guess it's not unusual to get to 120-130 MPH depending on the pace car driver.

As far as the fluid you recommend, this event is Friday so I'd have to find the Dot 4 fluid locally. Is that Motul typically something you can get at a local parts store or does it have to be bought online?

+1 with everyone else, and +1 to Motul RBF600. Good stuff. You definitely want DOT4 over DOT3 for track use.

Are you planning of using different pads? VIR is a fast track with huge brake zones... Fade will likely be an issues with stock Ferodo pads. The ~2 hours it takes to change front pads is possibly the best 2 hours of prep time you can do. Stock pads will fade at 800 degrees. Proper race pads will fade between 1650 and 2000 degrees.

EDIT: Sorry, just read the part about a pace car. You should be fine with the stock setup. I've done an event like that at Mid-Ohio once. It's more moderate use compared to a track weekend with point by or open passing. The pace drivers have to brake early.

They might not be high-end, but I do have Hawk Performance Ceramic front brake pads. Are these even a slight upgrade over the stock Brembo pads?

Is it any of these?

If not then probably not. But again, with a pace car you should be alright.
