IMO of course.
I think we are all aware of your opinion by now Charlie.

Don't hold back though, tell us how you really feel.

I agree completely.

Those II's were awful.

I have always equated cars with beautiful women. The decision as to which is more beautiful lies in the eye of the beholder. I have owned both a 2007 GT/CS and now the 2011 GT/CS. I personally think the "boy racer" wing is unecessary and detracts from the overall design of the '11. It will be changed to the lip spoiler. Of course, I felt the same way about the '07 and put the Shelby rear spoiler on in lieu of the wing. So, bottom line, both designs have their weak spots, but as with a beautiful woman, who cares

tl;dr, but suffice it to say that, NO, I do not find Awesome boring in any way, shape, or form. It is a classic, ageless, modern, wonderful design that they went and frelled up with that awful 2010+ rear end and plastic cladding, and there's no way in hell I'd change that opinion.

And I can't wait for this to be -ed, but I'm guessin' it'll stick around far too long.

Have fun in here everyone. Love ya!

/peace, out!

I just hope and pray the next model in 2014/2015/whenever looks better than them all.

hope ford leans more towards tweaking the generally well recieved styling ideas, and runs from generally not so well recieved ideas...
we've all got our ideas of what looks best, but Ford has to find a compromise that MOST will at least not dislike...and when new ideas turn out to be generally disliked, change them the next model year rather than drag them along...continuous improvement/reacting to customer input/call it what you want...
the latest 'run away' situation I would say is with the red on silver laguna seca boss- very very very few liked it, worse, MOST hated it- IMO that made it a obvious styling mistake that could easily be corrected- just offer more colors and dont paint the grille/wheels red. Ford needs to get a better ear to the ground somehow...focus groups or something, theres got to be a better way.

I still have not seen a mustang I like better than the 1969 styling wise, but I still HOPE to every year...till then second best looking to me is still the 05, but I really hope to WANT another new one someday...the 11 is a great car, but theres a lot of so called great cars out there these days, just not one that has the look I like better yet...

Hey at least we're talkin'! Some (most) days lately this "forum" just crawls... I mean goin' to the dentist has been more exciting.

I've owned one of each, a 2006 GT and now a 2010 V6. I liked them both and they both had aspects about the body design that made them look good. I prefer the front end of the 2010 but the rear end of the 2006 but the wrap around rocker panel of the 2010. lol As far as interior goes, the 2010 is by far a better car, hands down.

I have also owned both. infact I have owned a 99, 00, 06 gt vert, 07 gt whipple, 08 SGT(current), 09 gt, and a 2010 GT.

I love them for different but good reasons. Unlike most I like the 05-09 interior more then the 2010. I like the hips on the 2010 more. I am sure if we all made our perfect mustang from the parts of both generations it would be about equal parts from both.

This is like asking if you like blondes or brunettes, or maybe better yet ***** vs butts. Yeah I like the '10's ***** better, but the 05 has the better butt. Truth is, I wouldn't kick either out of bed. We're all riding hottie's and this thread makes us all sound just plain

I didn't read this whole thread, but wanted to add my opinion.

I've ALWAYS hated the 05-09 Mustangs. The type of hate that makes me want to vomit when they are seen. Modern day Mustang II.

I agree, like the looks of the 2010+ a lot better, especially the hips and the hood

i've got an 07 in windveil... great looking car... is it boring? heck no, but i do think the 11 looks great (especially when you know there's a 5.0 under the hood)... a dark grey or grabber 11 would be just perfect for me, but the 07 just ain't boring enough right now to fork over the extra coin... maybe one day though
