I was wondering the same thing... Some cars come with rear mats, some don't...
If you check your window sticker, it'll list "Front Floor Mats" as a standard option... Nothing about rears.

If you live in area with serious winter conditions, you may want to consider getting the weather tech inserts. They can hold water/snow without it slopping onto the carpet. I have had them in my last three cars, and my current 2011. Great investment, and with children, they contain those accidental spills we are (at least I used to be) familiar with. Here is the link;

i was stunned..i said to the guy oh..they must be in the trunk still?
even a kia rio has rear mats...(i rented one once...eww..i would never buy one..)
thats okay...i'll get some the pony and rubber ones to match the front...this car still has more electronic features than i could ever imagine...also couldn't belive i couldn't get a freebee...no oil change, car wash or wheel locks...but still..i got a nice deal (and they get to keep the lights on at the dealership)

This is a crazy thread... I can't even see the floor in the back! The only person small enough to fit in the back seat is my 3 year-old son, and he is about 5 years from being able to put his feet on the ground. Now I want rear mats to catch the crap he always drops
That said, I have the pony package- halfway decent front mats

I always preferred rubber/vinyl mats to carpet. Just yank them out every time you wash the car and scrub them down real quick, let em dry in the sun. Unfortunately the ones they sell at Walmart and such are not factory fit at all, and are usually styled more for trucks. The All Weather vinyls from partscheap seems to be the way to go. The 5.0 emblem carpeted ones are hypnotizing though
