If I wanted to do that permanently, I'd get a can of black automotive spray paint, some masking tape, sandpaper, and a lot of newpapers, and do it myself. I am leaning toward the magentic solution myself.

Hmm this panel looks like the stick on magnetic ones, but it is real plastic.

I have the Ford OEM rear decklid panel on my Mustang and I totally love it.

I see there are solid ones on there?..when you install those do you have to be real careful with the paint on ur car?

Nope the one that I have on my car you install with double sided tape, I have never heard of paint being messed up due to the panel on the decklid. It is super solid too.

I bought a magnetic one, but havent taken the car out of winter storage yet. They say to wash and wax the car and the side of the panel that sticks onto the car. Also not to leave on for a long period of time.

I'll post some pictures later this week. If i like the look i'll have my tint shop cut a vinyl piece out for me.

I don't see the problem with this. I have a couple of magnetic college magnets that are basically the same thing, and I put them in the same area, between the taillights on the decklid.

It's gets real dirty real quick back there on my convertible (probably an area of flow stagnation with vortices close by so the dirt gets deposited). But whenever I wash my car (every week or two when I am not disabled as I am now) I simply remove the magnet, wash the car, gently wash the magnet in the sink, let both dry, then re-apply the magnet. It's pretty simple really.

I bought the OEM Ford deck lid appliqué like the one that comes on the GT/SC for $48. I'm hoping since it is OEM that it won't fade for a while.

SLP Panel

I got the smooth panel from SLP. I didn't really care for the one from Ford, as I don't like the ribs. This one also just 3M tapes to the back, and is textured like the lower diaper. I added the "302" badge just so the Camaro's will know what just kicked thier butt!

You can always use a vinyl piece. Here is where I ordered my LeMans stripes for my 2010. http://www.graphic-express.com/k385.asp It appears they have most colors, but if you wanted simple black, it's only $30.

Here is mine with the "ribs" deck lid which is apart of the Ford accessory package, I love the look of it.
