Dead Pedal?

Does the GT have a dead pedal?

The V6 manual I drove didn't have one and I found myself hunting for it with my foot since I am used to having one in my '04.

I think all the 2010's and 11's have the hump for the dead pedal. I use and like the one on my V-6.

Here it is......

I haven't seen it in a 2010+ but it looked good on a 08 I saw at a show.

Yup...Just a hump to rest your foot on. If you want a real aluminum one, these guys make nice stuff:

Here's the CDC Dead Pedal and Lloyds mat in my 2011 V6.

Had to modify the CDC D-P though to get it to be parallel with the carpet platform. The inner rocker where it bolts up changed slightly (assume in 2010) so the bottom edge of the pedal was digging into the carpet platform not allowing the Lloyds mat to slip underneath it.

A quick slice off the back corner allowed it to to tip back enough to where it was now parallel with the carped platform allowing the mat to slip underneath.

As others have said, the CDC pedal COULD be a little bigger. But I find it combined with the Lloyds mat gives me the full carpet protection I was looking for.

Had read that some owners were complaining about the Lloyds mat dead pedal platform extension not staying in place (curling down maybe ??), so the CDC pedal definitely stops this from happening too.

More info on the subject in this thread I started 06/04/2010 ...

I'd prefer some sort of metallic dead pedal to match the other pedals, but right now I don't see any aftermarket solution that I like enough. The CDC one is too high up for me, and the others just look like some stick-on junk IMO.

Have you checked out the dead pedals as stangdeadpedals.com?

I got one---like it a lot. It is easy to install and rests flush with the carpet "hump" dead pedal. It is quite affordable, looks nice, and installs without having to disassemble anything on the car.

LOL. I swear, there's an aftermarket, complete with website, for EVERYTHING on these cars.

I'm afraid to look to see if there's a StangTurnSIgnalLever.com. Or a StangDomeLightSwitch.com

I made my own. It's about an inch at the bottom to an inch and half at the top higher than the carpet. Kind of pain since there is a big bundle of wires running in that area so the pedals has to be connected to the side wall.
