Confused myself...again. Track PKG VS Brembo PKG
I've probably just confused myself from all the searching but can someone PLEASE clarify the 2 packages? First of all, does a 2013 Mustang GT Premium (Manual) come with 3.73 gears?
The Brembo brake package comes with:
Available only on manual GT Mustangs with a 3.73 axle, the package gives track enthusiasts an engine cooler, upgraded radiator, performance friction brake pads and the same Torsen® differential that's on Mustang Boss 302. The package includes everything in the current Brembo™ Brake Package, with 14-inch vented front discs, unique 19-inch alloy wheels and summer performance tires.
My question is--do you get different springs with the Brembo PKG and the Track PKG? Is the Track PKG the only option that comes with 3.73 gears?
The Brembo brake package comes with:
- Front: 14" Brembo® vented rotors with Brembo® 4-piston calipers
- Rear: 11.8" vented rotors
- Unique electronic stability Control® (ESC) tuning
- 19" X 9.0 dark stainless painted aluminum wheels with 255/40R19 summer-only tires
- Tire mobility kit replaces spare tire
- Aggressive suspension tuning--is this the 55D Rear Springs?

What about the springs? What's the difference between the stock GT ride height/springs VS the Brembo ride height/springs VS the Track Pack ride height/springs?

Thank you for clarifying but I'm still waiting to hear if I would need to add the 55D rear springs myself to the Track PKG, to level it off... You can't get these from Ford, right?

Never did... 3.73's are a seperate option.
The 55D springs are aftermarket.

The easy way to think about it:
There is the Brembo Pack, which gives you everything you list.
Then there is the track pack, which gives you everything in the Brembo pack PLUS:
Boss 302 rear axle assembly (Torsen, 3.73 gears, vented diff cover, painted axle assembly)
Boss 302 Radiator
Boss 302 Oil Cooler
Engine calibration for 5W50 Oil
There is the Brembo Pack, which gives you everything you list.

If buying a 2013 6MT now I would go with the BBP & Track pack & 3.73, & deal with/sort out suspension height issue later.
A 'vert note: before buying my '12 GT coupe 6AT, I had a 2011 GT convertible 6MT. To my eye the 'vert had an acceptable ride height & a nice ride (but floaty struts/shocks). One drive in a coupe GT loaner convinced me that the coupe was what I should have bought - the structural rigidity was much better & it felt like more of a drivers car. I'll spare u the long story on changing to the '12 coupe, but the ride was stiffer (no BBP mind you) & it just seemed to sit just high enough that it annoyed me. Didn't intend to modify it when I bought it but I figured if the ride is going to be firm anyway I may as well lower it so that's why I went with Steeda Ultralites. Since i was switching to Konis anyway - the incredibly floaty stock dampers convinced me I needed to upgrade to Koni dampers, which I'd been plotting to do on my '11 vert anyway. Not sure if BBP dampers would be better...
