CHECK ENGINE LIGHT

So my check engine light came on while driving home tonight! Well the car is 2 1/2 days old, bound to happen eventually. I really love this car, I hope this isn't systemic. Has anyone else had this happen and if so what was the result.

Can sync my ride clue me in as to the reason?

SYNC has a vehicle health report, not sure yet how it works or whether it will give you the trouble codes.

I bet the service adviser tells you it's a loose gas gap...

I had one come on when my foot slipped off the clutch while starting. It started but was idling very rough. I turned her off and started again. At that point she ran fine but the light was still on. I cleared the CEL by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes.

He might also say you have no gas cap that will trigger it, lol.

Advanced Auto does free readings if you have one close to you if you want to know before you take it to service department just in case they tell you "i dont know" or "it was nothing" you will know ahead of time.

Run the vehicle health report, see if it comes up with anything, let us know what happens. it might just say your check engine light is on but not offer any more than that, have to have it come on and run a report.

Well I read that you got your car at Gas at here in LA County, and you live in Bakersfield. Your car is brand new man If I were you I would take it to any ford dealer to have them check it out for you.
