Don't constantly use re circulation, you need to get fresh air circulating through at times. Research why online.

On my 2013 recirculate mode automatically turns itself off after about 15 minutes or so.

Do you have the my ford my touch system? Otherwise, it should not switch off recirculation, my 2014 runs there most of the time.
