Anyone use a vacuum brake bleeding system?

Just wondering if anyone uses a vacuum brake bleeding system and how they have worked out? I was looking at the Mityvac system or something similar.

Thanks

I've used the Motive Power Brake Bleeder for years now and have never had anything but perfect success.

I've owned and used a Mityvac for 8 years. Works great. I got tired of asking my son to get out of bed on the weekend to pump the pedal while I bled the brakes. He's long gone on his own now, so me and the Mityvac do the work without requiring anyone.

I'm one of those that flush the brakes every year, as I live in a humid state (Florida), and average about 40K a year worth of driving. Brake fluid will obsorb moisture, which leads to a mushy pedal, and pits the cylinders of the brake calipers. The mityvac works great for pulling out the old fluid through the lines. I use a turkey baster to empty out the master cylinder, fill it with fresh brake fluid (never re-use the old stuff in a bottle on your shelf; it too will obsorb moisture), and use the Mityvac to draw out the old fluid until I see new fresh stuff being bled through.

I've looked into the units that mount to the master cylinder and "push" the fluid, but the Mityvac continues to perform just fine. There's many ways to build a mousetrap; the Mityvac is one that works great.

I used a motive power bleeder on my last car and loved it. On the mustang I just installed speed bleeder valves in place of the OEM bleeder nipples. Seem to work great so far

After posting this yesterday I had a dream my brakes failed because of the speed bleeders I installed. Now I am paranoid. Have to check them
