Sounds like my F250. And it's not a cervix when I get in it either

Same problem?

I guess this is my cars problem except I went to start it and it tried once to roll over and stopped. Then when I turned the ignition but didn't try to start the car and pressed the brake, it makes a weird click sound inside next to where I sit. It also would not turn over at all after that.

I removed the few things I had in my trunk and eventually tried again and got it to start after not trying for a while and it started the first time, but still makes the click sound when I apply the brakes in park. Drives and brakes as normal when not in park. Could this mean something isn't broke yet but is about to break? My car is a 2003 Saturn Ion... Found this forum thread in a YouTube video comment about the click noise. Thanks for any help in advance.

The click in park when pressing the brakes is just the park safety interlock and is completely normal.

There is no problem, period. This is normal automatic transmission behavior. The car clicks because when you step on the brake pedal in park you are releasing a plastic toggle clip in the shifter that allows you to move the lever out of park. This is normal. The shifter is designed to have a panel removed and you can then shove a pen down there to toggle this clip as well. If you don’t believe me it’s in the owner manual page:165-166 in the 2013 owners manual rev. 3 every auto car I have ever driven other than Jaguar style shifters do this, to the point I can make music with the brake pedal.
