As for the grille, my dealer has to wait for someone who is on vacation until next week to see what option(s) is allowed, or available. The comforting part is my dealer said they are working it...again , whatever that means....I guess we will find out late next week.
Good news. Sounds like the dealer wants to make it right. Pics, Pics, we gonna need pics.

I read through each and every post on this thread. For the record, I own a 2011 V6. I like it's style. HOWEVER, If I wanted a 2011 GT, with the fog lights in the grill, and plunked down a deposit OF ANY AMOUNT, and then was told that this ordered vehicle was not going to be what I ordered, then I would not be pleased. BigR, you are absolutely in the right here.

Ford (and others) make certain models for a reason; some folks like the V6 style, the pony option, the GT (with center grill fogs), the Boss, and Shelby. We order what we want to drive. I'm confused as to why some folks here would be against BigR's position, stating he should just accept or take the V6 style instead of what HE wanted.

I've gone so far as to add the "C" stripes and hood cowl decal for my 2011 V6. Why? because I like the "Boss" look, but could not afford the real thing. Not stopping me from making what I'm paying for what I want it to be.

I guess what it boils down to is that whomever is making the payments on the vehicle is permitted to decide on what they want. It's that simple!

What did you end up getting for a grille?

I went through the same issues. Ended up getting a GT/CS grille at no cost to me, so I was happy with that

Call me crazy, but as a subjective taste thing, I prefer the cleaner look of the v6 grill with offset tri-bar pony and the lower fogs in the bumper. But! You should have what you paid for.

One thing I have noted, this is not Ford, but the Canadian government who enacted a law which negated the GT grill from their cars. Funny thing, the Camaro and Challenger are both made in Canada and the Canadian government owns 14% of Chrysler, while the Ontario government and the Canadian DIC owns 11.7% of GM ...wonder if that had anything to do with the decision on the Mustang???

well said. i doubt anyone could win the argument that it's a downgrade. Too subjective. i have a '13 GT and was glad the fogs were not in the grill.

The grille it self is not so bad. Its the gross chrome around it that looks out of place
