Can First Warranty Service Be Transferred?

We bought our new GT from a dealer in Tampa because of a previous relationship with them, but we live across the state. Since the first check up/service is free, I'm wondering whether this can be transferred to a dealer near us? Anyone know?

Thanks
Tom

You should just be able to take it in to the local dealer UNLESS the free deal was a special from the selling dealer. I would call the selling dealer and ask them.

First service is NOT a Ford deal, it lies with the selling dealer, so the only way I could see you being able to get it done at another dealer is if that dealer was owned by the same person or company as the original dealer.

Ask the dealer you bought it from and ask them to call the dealer closest to you. You never know they might do it for you

Hi oceantracks,

Welcome again! The new-vehicle limited warranty stays with your vehicle and can be used at any Ford Dealer. The first maintenance service might not be. As AzPete mentioned, if this was a dealer offer, it may only be redeemed at your selling dealer. Please speak to your service manager as soon as possible.

My dealer put my first oil change onto my Ford Owner account. I guess that could have been redeemed anywhere. Just thinking out loud here.

I'll bet that if you contact the new dealer and mention you have moved to that new location and plan to use them as your "new" Ford service center, they will honor that other dealers 1st service maintenance deal.
