I called customer service today at noon and the status of the order has been updated from "Produced" to "In Transit".

How long did you're cars take to arrive from the "on rail" status to the dealership?

 

Mostly depends on how far you live from Detroit, and then how far you live from the nearest railyard. My guess would be that it should get to the dealer by the end of the week.

 

I'm in Columbia, MD. MapQuest distance to Detroit: 517miles

If it was loaded on rail Friday night... that should mean a pretty quick delivery right?

 

Nope, it took my car awhile to get to Jessup, MD after it left the plant. You'll see the car get stuck in towns for a few days.

 

Yeah, it should have been in transit all weekend, so it should be a good chunk of the way there already possibly.

And see the guy above. Trains aren't the most predictable.

 

I have a road trip planned for Friday to take my new baby down to my best friend's graduation in SC. Any hope that it'll make it in time?
