Cabin Air Filter?

It's pollen season and I have a terrible headache. So I start thinking about having to go and sit in my car that is covered in Yellow Demon Dust. Got to thinking, does our mustangs have cabin air filters?

Yes. They do. It's under the cowl on the passenger side.

Yeah it's not too hard to change but when/if you do just make sure the cowl meets up flush with the drivers side. Mine wasn't completely down and would buzz at highway speeds. Drove me crazy for a couple trips to work until I figured that out

I changed mine but do not think it was easy or fun, unless you like scraped knuckles and bleeding digits, I think they are a PITA.

They aren't terribly difficult. My son's Cobalt takes about 30 seconds. The Mustang takes around 15-20 minutes. The wife's Nissan Juke on the other hand....sheeesh that one takes forever!

It helps to park the wipers up before removing passenger side cowl cover. While you're there, make sure the passenger side duckbill valve isn't plugged up.

I use the standard replacement Motorcraft FP-53 paper filter. K&N offers cabin filters for Mustangs:
