A/C condensor?

A/C condensor?

I was working under the car the other day and when I sat up I noticed something odd through the grille in the bumper of my Mustang.

I'm assuming this is the A/C condensor and not the radiator?

What would cause it to separate like that?

The car is winter driven so I guess either is possible.
