Buy a 2011 GT500 or wait for the 2012 Boss 302?

Buy a 2011 GT500 or wait for the 2012 Boss 302?
Recently I've been thinking about replacing my 2008 GT/CS daily driver. I have had my eye on a few Race Red 2011 GT500's in the area but with the rumors of the 2012 Boss 302, I'm trying to decide which I would like better. Of course its hard to make that decision when I don't even know the specs on the Boss 302. My biggest concern with the GT500 is daily driving a s/c car, the aluminum block, the price of the tires, no spare tire, and that it may not be as nimble (fun to drive) as a Boss 302 or even a GT. I test drove a 2008 GT500 a while back and it felt so heavy and didn't turn very well at all. The GT500's in the area are not moving very well so I'm pretty sure I can get a great deal.
So what do you guys think? If I can get a great deal on a 2011 GT500 should I just do it and not look back or wait on the Boss 302?

Look at the price of a well equipped 2011 GT making a possible Boss 302 very near the GT500's and that is not counting the likelyhood of dealers not willing to deal on a SE such as a Boss unless it sits on the showrooms for a long time as the Shelby GTs and Bullitts did.
I don't think there would be that much difference on the handling between a Boss and a GT500 with the SVTPP. Add the fact dealers are willing to sell the 2011 GT500 at $1K over invoice which is somewhere in the neighborhood $3,500 off MSRP.

Anyway, I digress. It depends on what would make you happier really. When I was looking for a new car last year and I heard the 5.0 was coming and we had a good idea it was going to match the Camaro, I knew I couldn't settle for a 2010 Mustang GT. I would have been disappointed now if I had, especially now that I've driven my 2011. But if you're not certain which you'd like better, you'll have to think on that for yourself. All I can say is that the Boss is pretty definitely coming, and that the 2011 GT500 is much improved in handling, especially with the SVT Performance Package. I don't think you'd be disappointed. But we seem pretty certain the Boss is coming. It probably won't have 550 Horsepower mind. If you can afford to wait, it might be worth it. I don't know how GT500s go, but the deals will probably only get better and then you can make an informed decision when specs come out on the Boss.

Nah, it'll be the 2014 model year. The 2004 model was the 40th Anniversary, and 2009 was the 45th anniversary, although production has gotten to such that the 2014 Mustangs will be released at the Mustang's 49th birthday, but that's because the birthday is considered to be when the first Mustang was released. Effectively that means the first Mustangs were released at Year 0, which makes a release at the 49th Birthday the 50th model release.
Look for the 50th to be in style!

Definitely wait for the Boss. I'm pretty sure we will see something solid in the next few months.
Considering what Ford has been doing lately, I have A LOT of faith in the Boss being well worth the wait.
It's not like you're suffering right now driving your GT/CS. I could see if you were stuck with a piece of junk to drive how you would get a bit antsy, but I'm sure waiting a few months when you already have a nice car isn't that big of a deal.

Personally, I'd wait for the '12 Boss as I prefer normally aspirated engines (despite my login name ) and I think, or at least hope, this is going to be THE definitive S197.
If you don't like what you see when it's released, go for an '11 or '12 GT500.
Either way, you win

Life is short. Why wait for what might come to pass in a year or two. Buy what you like today, and you can always trade it in next year or the year after that if something better comes along.

If an auto manufacturer does its job the cars will get better every year and make you want to buy the newest thing. That said, just decide when enough is enough, for me the Shelby dropping 120lbs and having 550 hp is enough.
