Brembo Pkg wheels and tires
#21
Have a friend of mine that tore through Brembo Brakes in a month on his 98 GT. He romps on his car constantly but stated with the Brembos he wasn't racing or doing anything outside of his normal driving through town. Due to his input, I steer clear of Brembos personally. That is only because of his experience, not mine.
Trust me, I had Brembos on my 03 Cobra and I stopped with confidence on the autobahn from well over 100 MPH. I also live in Hockenheim where I drive on the Formula One track. Like 80% of the cars that are on the track we all have Brembo calipers. I didn't have to change my pads even after a few track days and months of street driving with Ferodo pads for example.
I also installed Brembos on my 2011 V6 with no issues and plenty of panic stops on the autobahns. Consider all of the Brembo equipped GT500s and 2011-2012 Brembo Mustang GTs without the need to change pads monthly.
Either you friend is full of BS or he has a problem that is most likely not due to the caliper (Brembo, AP Racing, Baer, Stop tech, MovIt) for example. Not really difficult to determine.
Take a little time to learn about brakes. Tons of great info out there. Good luck!
