Brembo brake package suspension question

Hey everyone. So I went to take a look at a Brembo-equipped car today and I noticed the lower control arms were painted different(silver, like the GT500s) than the non-Brembo cars(black). Has anybody heard anything official about the LCAs being different with the Brembo package? I know we've seen that the springs are different and the ESC tuning is revised, but I was unaware of any other changes. I assume that the ones on the Brembo package wouldn't be painted different for no reason, that's why I'm thinking maybe they are unique. Thanks, later.

I read a recent article that talked about the suspension being different from the standard GT as well. But the order guide just talked about the ESC tuning being different, nothing else.

try www.fordparts.com the LCA has only 1 part number, but referenced 3 times (base GT, convert MT, coupe MT) the base and convert are the same price whereas the coupe MT is a few dollars more.....? Take that as you will. Also if you look up the swaybars there's the same part number but different variations with price changes and wording like "upsized bar"..None of it though mentions Brembo only cars of course. Hope this helps.

Yeah I tried looking at the fordparts.com pages for both the GT500 and GT at the same time and it didn't help much. Virtually all part numbers are identical, the only differences are in the descriptions as you mentioned. I'm interested in this because if I'm going to get a GT I want the highest performing variant I can get, which is pretty much a Brembo car, mostly because of the tires(which anybody can get later). However, if there is additional upgrades from non-Brembo cars besided the tires and re-tuned ESC, then that'll make me think twice about not getting the Brembos. Decisions, decisions...

I had a chance to compair my Brembo GT and a Shelby 2011 with the 67F package i think its called. The LCA are the same, silver in color. I also read that the springs were different. Also i belive the 19 inch wheels are wider, 9.5 vs 9. Sometimes there isnt a list of al the stuff thats different on a certain package. Ronn

Silver or not...the bushing are too soft. *** end hops all around. They are nothing to write home about.

The 19" Brembo pkg wheels are 9" wide, whereas the other optional 19" wheels are all 8.5" wide.

Well usually LCA refers to the rear lower control arms. Is he refering to lower A arms? That would be the front...correct?

No worries...maybe the OP can clarify. Now I'm confused.
