Brake issues w/2011 v6pp?!?

Hey just checking to see if there were any known issues with 2011 v6's pp where the brakes squeak when braking?!?!? I have 3500 on mine and it has been squeaking for about 1200 miles just haven't had a day off where I can take it in to get checked. It also can now feel friction/vibration from pedal when breaking as if the pads are low. I have only had about 2-3 hard brakes but they were actually after it initially started and I rarely drive it like I stole it . But I know its not dirt or rust or anything like that................... any info would help. Thanks

The pads on the PP are performance compound and are prone to making more noise than softer pads.

You can get some anti-squeak compound to put on the back of the pads and you can scuff the rotor surface with a scotchbrite disc.

You can also try bedding the pads again as if they were new.

Are there any grooves forming in the rotors? If so there may be or have been some trash that got in between the pads and rotors.

The dealer may tell you that the noise is normal, which it technically is.

My PP brakes squeal... took it in once, they said pads were glazed, applied some solution on it and called it a day. On the way home, started squeaking again.

Took it in again today for brakes and transmission.

"It's all normal" + "cannot replicate"

As previously stated get some anti squeak spray from your local auto shop and spray them down. Although I don't have the PP brakes on my GT, they would squeal a lot. Now that I sprayed them down, barely notice the squealing.

Dude, not to bag on you, but as soon as I read your post I figured you would also be one of the hypochondriacs who complains about the MT. Lo and behold, a couple posts down, yup, I was right.

Again, not trying to be harsh, but don't be such a pansy. It's a relatively high-performance car. The breaks will be a little noisier. The transmission won't glide around like a Civic. I'm sure your dealer will confirm there isn't a single thing wrong with your car. Too bad they can't put "driver paranoia" on the service report!

Thank god for grammar police, for "bagging" on people that just have a question about their car. You could have just not said anything polishmusthang since your retort is an assumption. I am so glad you know all the answers.

Thanks for making me hungry.

@OP - put some anti-squeak on the pad packings. This should quiet them down.
