Brake fluid overspill on fluid reservoir
Brake fluid overspill on fluid reservoir
While admiring my 5.0 I noticed some brake fluid spilled on the
reservoir and some on the cap too. I do not think it leaked out but was spilled instead.
Is the brake fluid filled at the factory or it is topped up at PDI?
I cleaned it all off with a damp towel and will monitor the situation.

filled at factory. Most likely spillage as you said.
just wipe it off and be very careful not to let that rag or paper towel contact your paint

dude i think you should flush the brake fluid off. with this you can clena the oil tank. i watched the video about how to flush brake fluid and it works.
OK, I know you haven't been here long but..
First...
Whatever the OP chose to do was done a long time ago.
Second...
Half of all your posts recommend doing Do It Yourself service to brand new cars still under full factory warranty.
What's up with that?
Third...
If he doesn't want the dealer to put the fluid at a lower level and wants to use the baster, FINE...
The fluid DOES NOT need to be flushed.
BTW your links are good, but they are not germane to the situations.
Please keep studying auto mechanics.
Your interest is appreciated, but perhaps you need a little more experience to advise.
I thought Ford had corrected this problem. I had this same thing happen on my '07 GT, as did many others. Finally did remove some of the fluid and it stopped. I have not noticed this problem, yet, Good reminder for me to go check...
