TPMS and winter wheels

i can now confirm that the TPMS warning light does stop coming on after 3 days of driving.

unfortunately i didn't count to see if it was number of ignitions or time that caused the warning light to stop coming on.

Are you sure? How long was your trip on that 3rd day? My summer/autocross wheels and tires don't have TPMS sensors in them, and if I'm just driving back and forth to work (14 miles each way) the TPMS light never comes on. As soon as I drive about 25 miles or more, then the light comes on, but if the car sits overnight and my next trip is 15-20 miles or less, the light stays off.

This is pretty much what I see since putting on the snow tires and rims. The light comes on every morning around 15 or so miles into my 40 mile commute. The light comes on immediately when I leave work at the end of the day. There must be a certain amount of time the cars needs to be idle for the sensor light to shut off. Every morning it's off until I hit that 15 ish mile mark. I'm just thankful that the chime isn't constantly on or I would have had to invest in some sensors.
