Maybe you can be the guinea pig, but I doubt you will be successful as JPC hasn't found a way for the speedo to work in their T-56 Magnum equipped '11 GT. Good luck to you though.

Yes because imbeciles like you are polluting it.
Thank You. Waiting on a flywheel to come in. Should be ready Monday.

Heck, you're spending all that money on the tranny swap, just get a custom reluctor machined for it with the proper amount of teeth.

I would also think that you should be able to use a speedo recal box since that is what they do is change the number of pulses to match what is needed.

Guys,

D and D performance has already done a swap and it looks like the speedo should work.

Speedo recal won't work. Even with the SCT PRP using the scalars in fractions won't properly adjust for the reluctor wheel difference. You will always be about 7-10 mph out of adjustment. So unless D&D has custom machined reluctor wheels that fit on the mainshaft of the MT-82 then you are SOL on a true speedo matchup.

Will my 3.73's work well with my current setup or would I need 410's?

2012 5.0 Tr6060
3.73, SW Long tube, catback x pipe, Brenspeed 93 tune and CAI, Shaftmasters aluminum driveshaft.

I think the answer would be that 4.10s are more attractive with the 6060 due to the steep 6th gear--you can get all the acceleration benefits of the 4.10 without much (if any) mileage impact. I think this is one of the first mods for many F-body guys.

That being said, I'm not sure if it's worth the cash in parts/labor to upgrade from 3.73 to 4.10.

I don't see it either. If you were starting with 3.31s I could see it, but from a 3.73 to a 4.10 wouldn't be worth it, unless, you were doing it all yourself. In that case, maybe.

In my bone stock 96 GT with only a Terminator T-56 and 3.73, I can spin the tires in second. I only have like 190 odd hp(max 210) to the tire at that. So you should be fine with 3.73. The Terminator guys love running 3.73 on the street until you start going turbo and then you go back to 3.55's or 3.31/3.27.

That car has lots shorter tires on it than a 2012 does, be almost like having the 4.10's on the 2012 compared to your '96 with 3.73's.

275/40/17's are way shorter than the tires on a 2011+, 25.7" tall compared to 27.25" tall for the standard 18's on a GT.

Sweet! I wish Reverse was like that on the MT-82. Now I have to explain to everyone new to the car that reverse is PUSH DOWN then left and up.

OK, the transmission shifts perfectly glad it's all in.

The speedometer isn't working and the revers lights aren't either.

Above I posted a diagram of the TR6060's wiring that I got from DandD performance who did this swap and got the speedo to work.

The guy that did the swap also gave me this website to buy one of these:
http://www.atrol.com/speedometer/

He said I need an ERA. I just don't understand what to do with the wiring.

The RPM's work though.

RPMs read off the crank sensor.. not transmission. fyi.
