I believe you're going to need a direveshaft as well.

Let us know how it turns out!

Yes, thank you I will need one. I'm getting a package price from a friend.

It will include a shaftmasters driveshaft.

By quite a bit. The standard gearset TR6060 has much shallower gearing. You're moving from 5 forward gears and 1 overdrive gear with the MT82 to 4 forward gears and 2 overdrive gears with the TR6060.

Unless of course you're having a transmission specially built in which case you can probably get the same over all ratios.

He's right, all the TR6060's have overdrive in the top two gears.

It is really a hell of a thing though to buy a new car and be immediately replacing the transmission in it.

Must be nice to have that kind of cash to throw around...

It's not a standard tr6060 it's specially built. 5Th is very aggressive on it 6th is overdrive.

I appreciate your input.

I don't trust my MT82 it's been getting notchy and it whines more and there is no fix in sight. I'm having trouble getting it into first now.
I have a friend that' going to give me an awesome deal that I can't pass on a built Tr6060 clutch and everything I need down to even an MGW shifter. If I decide to SC my car this trans will be able to handle it. The install will cost me about $400 too.

This Tr6060 is rated at 1000 ,Synchros where Chrono and 1-2 synchros are carbon fiber with 5 forward gears and 1 OD. Shifts like butter too.

Is this really what it's come to? Replacing the transmission on a brand new car?

When it comes down to it yes, because if you plan on going FI or something like that the MT82 isn't rated to handle much more torque than the stock coyote puts out. If I got a good deal on a stronger setup I would jump on it as well because I plan on eventually going FI to around 700hp. Can the MT82 hold up with that? It's possible, but with the car being a DD as well I don't feel like risking it.

Makes sense for someone who is really going to void their power train warranty anyways.
