Bottom of Door

I was doing a little cleaning on my new 14 and noticed that the bottom of the door doesn't seem sealed like my 12 was...I was actually able to spray some wax which ran down into the crevice. Is anyone elses got that big of an opening at the bottom of the door?

Jeff, I just looked at the Wifey's '13, and it's the same way. Now I'm pissed off with you. That will be a problem area for rust over time.

I did some searching and based on prior posts this is normal...I just don't remember the 12 having that big a gap....supposed to be for draining....

Rust happens when water is trapped and has nowhere to drain. They are intentional:

@mfc133, thanks for the link Mike. I didn't think to look for plugs as the edge is quite narrow. I'm feeling much better now.

Yeah, you don't want it sealed up at the bottom, trapped water is bad news.
