Blue Valve Covers
Blue Valve Covers
Has anyone installed the blue FRPP valve covers on their 4.6L? What are your opinions of the finish of the VC and how they look after they are installed? My 10 GT is Grabber Blue so I am wondering how they would look before I spend the $260.
Although mine is an 07, but I just bought the FRPP blue covers and they have a very nice finish. Don't pay $260 though as you can get them a lot cheaper. Think mine were like $235 shipped from Tousley Ford.
From what I've seen, they'd prob look great with GB because the cam covers aren't really 'Ford Blue' like when they used to paint the blocks (which was darker more medium blue).
I don't think the current blue cam covers look good against the DHG from what I've seen. So for me I'd prob do crinkle black, maybe carbon fiber, but then you're prob locked in doing a cf intake too... (I like chrome but kind of goes against the Bullitt plaino look...)
Regardless, I don't like the unfinished alum look. It looks... unfinished.
Mulally's not thinking. Add ons increase revenue. How many of us would have paid a few hundred extra for painted axles/diffs, and coated cam covers!??

This guy right here! I would def have paid extra. Sad that the '10 GT500s don't have these feature or options. But that's what the aftermarket and good paint shops are for!
