Blower installation

Blower installation
I am currently at a repair shop working generally on European cars. This is the only shop that has done work on my BMW 540. I asked the owner if he can do a Roush blower install on my GT and he said he can do it for $800. Is that a good price? Also, I doubt it if they have even done a blower install. Should I trust my car to them?

Jun, to compare prices ... my local Roush/Ford dealer charges 10 hours of labor @ 130.00 for a phase 1 and phase 2 kit install. This includes downloading the Roush PCM flash calibration voucher which comes with the kit. The other option is to send your PCM back to Roush to be flashed, but that’s an extra 100.00 fee.

That's a good deal. If they do good work then you'll be ok. The install isn't difficult at all. My only recommendation is to purchase the VMP plug and play harness kit. It's worth the $149.00 Your installer will thank you as it eliminates the need to change the pinout on a few of the connectors. I would also forgo the Roush tune which is lame and go with VMP. I installed my Roush TVS back in February of last year and ran it for 6K and back in September I finally broke down and had Justin Starkey send me a tuner and custom tune. It;s night and day. The Roush tunes are very conservative.
