blotches on Brembo package wheels!!
So my car is here and I cannot gush enough about how much I love the hell out of this machine. I have 200 miles on it so far and it already exceeds my expectations in every measure. I really liked my 2009 GT but this car is VASTLY better.
So before I even saw my car, the salesman said that there was damage on the Brembo package wheels, presumably from wherever it sat in limbo for a month...
He said that they have already put in a warranty claim but couldn't swap them out because they had no other Brembo cars on the lot. It will probably be okay but I REALLY wish I didn't have to talk to this dealer again so soon...and I have my worries that it will be a really long time before they get the new wheels in.
So while it looks like brake dust or grease, it doesn't rub off...and appears to be under the clear coat...
...has anyone else seen this before? Any suggestions on how to deal with it for the weeks and weeks it will undoubtedly take to get the new wheels?

If they're ordering new ones LEAVE THEM ALONE. The dealer may have to send the old ones back and the last thing you'll want is to cause further damage with a home remedy.
The dealer will probably have to send the old ones back so don't give him an excuse to deny a warranty claim. My $.02

You might want to ask that guy what is issue was with his wheels...

dont touch it. Dealer will most likely have to return these.
I had a 3 inch crack in my glass roof upon delivery. Dealer warrantied it and the part came in 2 weeks. It's perfect now

Thanks for the input, everybody.
Yeah, all four are like this. The two on the driver's side are 2x as bad though which really points to some kind of exposure to something corrosive... the paint on the car seems to be completely untouched, thankfully.
My car had no indication that it was pulled for any kind of evaluation...but it's a good theory. Still, I would hope that the paint on teh wheels would be cured before they mounted tires on them.

The brake dust from the semi-metallic pads combined with the rain water does become corrosive and will eat into the paint on the wheels.
This is why it is so important to keep those painted wheels clean and a good idea to replace those semi-metallic pads with ceramics, the dust from them isn't as harmfull or as dark so it won't ruin your wheels.
