Question Billet gear shifter - who makes it?

I recently saw a picture of a 2011 with a round billet 6 speed gear shifter but can't remember where and would like to get one. I have searched and found non-round or white / black shifter ***** but they don't grab me. Any ideas? Thanks

You might be referring to the metal ball shifter that comes on the premium interior group cars. Mine came from the factory this way.

You should be able to get the shift **** directly from ford.

The 401A interior package has the aluminum cue ball **** with the smaller diameter boot at the connection point. You have to have both the **** and the boot. The 400A boot/**** is different.

I've seen a ton of comments about it being uncomfortable because it's solid aluminum, thus will get very hot/cold in the weather. I love the look of the 401A package but I'm getting an Epco **** with the 401a boot. I far prefer the 401A look to the 400A.

Partscheap.com sells the 401a billet **** and boot.

It's true about the aluminum **** being uncomfortable. I bought a Ford aluminum **** from the Ford Racing Parts catalog and installed it in my '95 GT. Loved the looks of that thing, but it would burn your hand in the summer and freeze your hand in the winter. I had to use a cloth until it cooled down or warmed up.

The plastic cue ball feels much, much better than an aluminum ball. I personally prefer the old-school look of the white ball, but I understand this is personal preference. I put the Hurst short-throw shifter with white ball and chrome blade handle in my '05 GT and absolutely love it every time I look at it and hold it. When I trade in my '05 GT for a 5.0, I am going to go with this Hurst:
