Courtesy of my HTC Evo. They feel almost identical. They lean forward about the same.

Sounds good Adam. And if it's really a big deal for the color/texture match (and the Fusion headrests end up working) you could just pick up a set of cloth Fusion headrests and have them recovered in matching vinyl/stitching by an upholstery shop. The Stone/Black 400/401A guys have it easier, as the Fusion comes with similar color interiors. Hopefully they work...

I have another coworker with a 2010 Flex, I may have to try her headrests too.

Arghh that sucks. Maybe the 06-09 Fusions don't lean as much...back to square one I guess. Maybe the F150 headrests?

I have a 2009 Flex. Its headrests are even more angled than the Mustang's.

I'm pretty sure my F150 headrests are about the same.

Maybe the Escape is the best bet then. I personally didn't have a problem with them once I got comfortable, but I can see how they'd be a problem for people shorter/taller than me. My mom didn't like them in our Fusion at first.

Hah. Same here. Drive an SN95 for any length of time. You'll have bad posture too.

The seats in my Cougar are the first thing everyone complains about when they ride in my car. They're so low and uncomfortable. I took it on a road trip up to Fremont and my passengers were having back pain lol

Haha Fremont. That's just down the way from me. Yeahh I don't even have backseats anymore. Useless. Two 12" subs IB are much more enjoyable.

Finally fixed it

Well I finally straightened out my headrest a bit. It was really simple. I went to my friends shop and it took him longer to find the tool then actually do the job.

We took a 3/8 tube bender and slightly bent back the rod. Just pull back the cover and get it up as high as you can on the bar. We did it by eye put it back on and it felt so much better.

Here is a couple of picks of the final.

I'll continue to play with the adjustments, but I'd really like to find some head rests with a more "normal" vertical design.
Your over exaggerating...

these seats are not designed to be sitting straight up hint his term "Too up right" everyone who buys a mustang knows this. Hint the design of the head rest being angled forward. So when the seat is leaning back (in the position the designed it for) the head rest with me mostly a vertical.

if your arms feel "to stretched out" then you don't have long legs. People with long legs have long arms. I would love to see a "normal" human being (by normal i mean no physical problems) that has long legs and short arms.

So quit being picky, they designed these seats for comfort =)

Really? This is probably one of those posts that would have been better off not sent.

A person comfort is a different and personal thing for them to decide. And considering that many people have had the same complaints on many of the mustang boards. I would say you are way off base.

Funny, nearly everyone that has been in my car has commented on the headrests being a nuisance and uncomfortable. The rest of the seat is fine, but the headrests are terrible.
