No problem. Just check the x-plan thread and if you have any questions just ask Jeff, (05fordgt). He is awesome and can answer almost any question you may have.

Just wait 6 months after it comes out - you'll get it for much less.

I bought a 6 months old GT Premium for $24,000, which had MSRP when new of $32,000+.

Now youre talking my language!!! Awesome deal, and glad to hear you got a great deal! Its just a commonality-- Sorta like when the Iphone originally came out and cost $599- then it went down to $399 3 months later!

It's sometimes more about who has the ablitiy to wait a little bit for something, as opposed to who has it first. I think I can wait a little bit if I have to to save a little bit more $$- I dont want one that used though, and still do want to order one with the options/color I want

..thanks for sharing your experience

Dealers in my area frequently offer $8,000 of MSRP. Saw a commercial on television within the last week advertising exactly that on 2010 Mustangs. I think your desires for such a price are realistic, just not yet, not on an order, but on a dealer looking to clear inventory later this year. Then again buyers in the bay area have to swallow 9.5% sales tax. But if you wait, you'll get something at least close to what you want.

I don't think you're getting it. For you to pay cash for the options and then finance the rest, well you may be a little closer to what you're looking for. But that isn't what you stated in your OP. Even at the end of the model year, the 2011 should be in high demand. You still won't be able to get that kind of deal on a custom spec car, unless you get an X-plan. And stop comparing 2010s to 2011s. The deals won't be the same. Even if the economy is in the same state it is now (which is improving). Dude, trust me I'm looking to get the same kind of deal, but I know I realistically won't be able to get an 11 for the price that the 10s are going for right now. Most likely you'll never see an 11 or 12 at the deals you are expecting unless they are a rare color/option combo that sits on a dealer's lots for 6 months. Now 2013, I would expect to see these same kind of deals on the 10s. But either way, it will be a LOT car, not a custom ordered car.

Why do you think the dealer is going to custom ordered you a fully loaded car, and then sell it to you at a loss? That just does NOT make sense man.

Well, if you are so adamant that you can get the price you want, then go to the dealer and get it.

Hey Mike, I'm the fellow whysoserious (Joe) mentioned about. The 2011 Mustangs will have very little rebates off the bat. If they have anything more than $1,000 I'll be SHOCKED!!! Even the 2010 Taurus didn't get anything more than a $1,000 rebate to start. To get to a price where you want, X-Plan will be the best bet. I priced out the car as you listed above: Glassback, HIDs, Sec Pkg, Brembos, rear gears and 401A Prem Trim. MSRP is $39,095 and invoice is $36,308.68. X-Plan is $36,438.45. I am selling all my orders to TMS members for $300 over invoice. X-Plan is a shade better but not everyone can get a PIN number. Hope these numbers help you figure out the deal you want. If you have any questions, let me know. I"m glad to help.

Joe (whysoserious), thanks for the kind words buddy!!

Hey Mike, not a problem. If you don't mind a nice long drive home in a new car, I can order you the exact car you want, for a great price. I'll be happy to help.
