Best Price for Premium GT...

I want to buy a 2011 Premium GT 5.0 fully loaded

I dont want to spend more than 35k for it.

How is this attainable when pre-ordering? It seems that you're going to pay almost MSRP for a 2011 Mustang right now, and there's not many incentives to preordering one with a good deal.

Also, can I order a personalized 2011 well into next year? Another words, I possibly want to order one around mid year 2011, and would I still be able to do that?

I'm wanting to pay 35k including tax, tag, title, everything out the door- nothing more.

I may have to wait it out, or whatever but I'm determined.

GT Premium
glass roof
brembo brake package
3:73
401a trim package
HID Lights with Security
1000 Shaker Sound System upgrade

You could probably find a Dealer in your area that will order it for you with the X-plan, that's what I'm doing. Or, you could order it thru the Sales guys on this forum.

But, you have a lot of high dollar options listed that you want on your car. I don't think you'll be able to get all that along with tax, etc for 35K. Mine will be around 34K even with the X-plan, and I'm not getting the Shaker, glass roof, or the brembo brake package.

You want want to reconsider some of those options if you want to stay under 35K.

As already stated, I don't think you can get the options you want at that price your looking to pay without putting some cash down. Goto Brandon Ford and talk to Lyle Herb...... Tell him Dave Wilkinson sent ya...

That car stickers for $40,390.

You say you want to get it for $35K, including taxes, etc. Assuming Florida's 6% tax rate, that means you are looking to get the car for less than $33,000. $7,400+ off of a car that hasn't been released yet? I think you'll be waiting a while. A long while.

If I were you I'd be looking for a deal on a 2010, then bolt a nice blower package up to it. I bet you could do it for way less then 35k.

Thanks so much Dave... Brandon Ford is where I've been going on my lunchbreak lately to see the options/colors, etc- I love that dealership and they have some really nice Roush's, Shelbys, GT500

I'm noticed they dropped all the new 2010's about 5k less then sticker now... plus rebates/incentives

About how much can I save by using the Employee X Plan if that's an option?? What's a good ball park average if someone can help me. I'm just trying to be informed..

Another words, let's keep it simple

Mustang Premium GT'
33,800 Premium Package
2,000 Glass Roof
Total= 35,800 What's the best deal I can get before tax, tag, titles, dealer fees, etc

So if my Premium GT Glassroof Mustang is 35,800 what's the best, bottom line price out the door??
2k, 2.5k, 3k, or possibly 4k less on a good deal, or sale?? I'd like to know what the best-good avaerage savings can be and not be spending all day at a dealeship haggling with the Sales person and Sales Manager... I just want to be very well prepared.

I intend to come with a pre-approved Bank Check from my Navy Credit Union so there's no battle...

...I'll pay for my Other Options via cash to help keep it real simple--- (brembo Brake Package, 3:73, HID/Security, 401a trim package, and anything else

With the X-plan you would probably save 1800-2000 off of a 2011 Premium GT. I don't think you'll get much more then that on a 2011 since there will be a fairly good demand for them since they have a much more powerfull engine then the 2010.

But, as you've noticed already I'm sure you'll be able to get a really good deal on a 2010.

Your numbers are spot-on. But I disagree with your conclusion... I think the OP will be waiting forever.

According to edmunds.com, invoice is $36,942. And you want it for ~$33k? Maybe I'm missing something, but why would a dealer special-order a car for you at ~$4000 below invoice?

One slim hope: Watch the weather reports... somewhere in the U.S. you might find a hail-damaged car available at a terrific discount.

Yeah I think the OP is looking for is virtually a fully loaded GT Prem, which as somebody mentioned is going to be in the 40K neighborhood. And yes, x-plan is probably the best way that we can get good deals on the 2011s as they will not have trouble selling them this spring and summer.

OP, you're dreaming.

And if you're going to order, skip the Shaker 1000 crap. You could blow that system out of the water with $1500 on aftermarket stuff. You can easily beat it (with better sound quality) for as low as $750 new, even less if you buy used equipment.

Either way, you won't be getting a new 2011 at your asking price. Only way would be used after a couple years.

Question

Im dreaming? Am I dreaming when I stand at the local Ford Dealership here in Brandon, Florida and see between 5-6k off MSRP on all the 2010's including Roush's, Shelbys, etc?

Im certainly not trying to be unreasonable here. Asking 40k for a loaded Premium GT seems a little bit on the high side though.

I certainly am hopeful that getting a good 2.5k off the MSRP isn't unreasonable at all. I'm just trying to see how far down we can go, and there's nothing at all wrong with that. If I'm hopeful then I will try.

So, if I'm looking at being reasonable here- talk to me.

2011 Mustang Premium GT = 33,800
Glass Roof = 2,000
-----------------------------------------
35,800
max discount 2,500
-----------------------------------------
33,300 total before tax,tag,title,dealer fees,etc

Am I being inappropriate still? If so, then let every salesman tell me I am. I feel like I'm being easy, actually if this is the maximum reality of MY deal.

Lol whoa there. Pretty sure you said you wanted pretty much every option minus the auto transmission. Not just Glass Roof. Offering $35k, OTD with tax/license/everything. Yes. You're dreaming. Maybe next year after the deman dies down, but I doubt it. The dealer would be losing money on that deal.
You understand this yes? They are trying to run a business? I'm looking at a 2010 right now and even with the crazy discounts I wouldn't expect a dealer to go for $35k out the door. Unless the car has been sitting on the lot for a year.

And 2010 =/= 2011 bud.

Your first post had a bunch more options on it. They added up to about 40K like has already been pointed out. The Brembo Brake package is listed as having a MSRP of $1695. The 2011 has a new engine in it, and won't have as much of a discount as a 2010.

Remember, there's a reason the 2010 GT has such a big discount. I'm not saying that it's not a good deal, but a 2011 won't have as much of a discount.

I plan on paying for the extras in cash- 33,700 plus 2k for Glass Roof 35,700

Brembo Brake Package - 1700
HID Lights ----------- 525
Security--------------- 395
3:73 Gear ------------- 395
401a Rapid Spec --------395
--------------------------------
3,410 cash < this is not the problem

35,700 is what I will focus on getting down as low as feasibly can, with all due respect. 33,000 sounds like a good baseline goal at this point. Depending on market conditions, gas prices, events in the world, economy, don't tell me that i'm dreaming. About 4 years ago, many people would have scoffed at someone dreaming on buying a nice 3/2 home here in Central Florida for less than 200k

Someone once told me a car loses 30% of its value once it drives off the lot..."

As has been mentioned earlier, 40K for a fully loaded 2010 or 2011 is completely reasonable. Check prices for an equally decked-out Challenger or Camaro, it'll be the same if not more. The prices of these cars has gone up incrementally in the last decade or so. That is the simple truth, and has been talked about in several threads around here.

That certainly does sound a lot more reasonable that what we thought you were describing earlier. In the end though you still will be knocking on the door of 40K, even if you do basically put money down to cover the options. You really should look into X-plan if you have not already, that will take off about 2k from MSRP.
