Battery Warranty?

Battery Warranty?
Know this is a question for Ford Service but do any of you know if the battery is included as a replacable item under the original warranty or is it pro-rated.
I have a month left on the original warranty and it is stone dead.
Thanks!

Should be from date of purchase on the 3/36 warranty.

The original battery is covered under the new-vehicle limited warranty of 3 years or 36,000 miles, which starts from the warranty start date or date the vehicle was first put into use. Once replaced, your dealer will advise on which warranty your new battery will carry.
Your service manager is in the best position to ensure a proper diagnosis, and will be able to provide available options and/or coverage for any work needed. You can schedule an appointment online here.

Is it quite cold where you are? Do you sometimes not drive your car for 10 days or so?
If the answer to both those is yes and they occur at the same time, like it is for me sometimes, then your battery will "die". It is totally necessary to keep these batteries on a trickle charger if not driving for extended periods (or disconnect it if you accept the consequences). It's not like the old days where cars drew zero current when they were turned off.
Luckily, if you catch it soon enough, there aren't really any nuisance results IIRC (like lost settings, even on your "radio" lol).

Just because it starts every time does not mean the battery has a full charge. A full charge is 12.6 volts or above.
FYI to all, Even brand new batteries will lose charge when sitting on the shelf. A battery can lose as much as 25% of it's charge when sitting for 3 months on a shelf. Imagine how much it will lose when in a car ?

Wow, didn't think that this thread would get any attention.
Unfortunately I had to buy a battery that evening so I could get to work.
I was able to the car off during lunch to have them check out the electrical system. When I went to pick it up they didn't bring up that they could have replaced the battery under warranty. They did BS me when I picked it up saying that the battery I bought was crap and had a bad cell. I had it checked out independently and the battery was fine (pushing more CCA that it's rated power). Wonder if they were trying to get me to buy a battery from them.
Oh, well... I'm out $140, but the car starts
