I drove a 2010 with the base interior and the only beef I had with it was the plastic steering wheel. I like the cloth seats they were really comfortable and I don't want leather so it suits me fine. Been checking around, trying to see if there was any way I could get a fleet order and get the leather wheel. I used to have a buddy that worked for a car rental company that could order one but don't know anyone currently who could get it. And as far as the extra gauges go, the oil pressure gauge is surely the same as previous years, just a glorified idiot light so who cares...

I think it's interesting that for the Canadian V6's leather seats are a separate option, so it's possible to get heated cloth sport buckets with IUP, or leather base seats (but without IUP).

I agree though, the 18R package should be available to everyone.

the seats are nice but they really should offer IUP in the base. i want the cloth seats but not the dash or steering wheel.

It's available that way in Canada. Pricing is competitive too.

I don't like cloths seats... but if I that didn't matter, I'd have to spend the money and at least get a premium steering wheel. That alone would make a helluva big difference.

To each his own is correct. My GT has only the 3.73 gearing. Leather and upgraded stereo are meaningless to me. The sound the car makes is my favorite song. I would like the mycolor, but whatever. My interior looks just like yours Wannabe, and I love it.

I got mine at Partscheap.com in June of 2008 for $266 plus S&H, but they've gone up a lot in price since then, currently Partscheap has them for $391. From what I've seen, in the last year or so, they've gone up everywhere.

That does look nice, but you'll have some unused buttons since the audio controls won't work with the 2010 wheel, at least it won't be a direct plug-in affair from what I've heard elsewhere here. It is a good bit cheaper though (for now).

Yup you're right Keith. And thanks for the heads up on that site I don't know if they can beat kc's pricing though

The running horses (an homage to the original "Pony Package" interior, in my opinion) were what I LOVED about the cloth interior. Had it been available, I most likely would have wanted it, depending on how they would have packaged it. I had them in my 2007 GT.

I do agree the base interior seats look a tad richer than what is available for 2010.

Sorry...disagree with ya there. I had many people comment on the 'cool little ponies'. Of course, it is a moot point, and I do think the cloth in the 2011 looks nice.

The running horse cloth reminded me of the "Fiesta" cloth you could find in a '98 Plymouth Neon Expresso package. If that was all I could afford,(cloth mustang), it wouldn't bother me at all.
