"O" I can think of another "BAMA" that specializes in blowing it.

If you're here to correct other posters grammar you might want to include the correct punctuation in your own post and start the sentence with I instead of "think".

Now was there anything you had a question about in my post?

Bama has won more than any other team. Saban is a good Tuner.

I bet plenty of people ignored it because it looks like crap, myself included. If the rest of the world can hit the return key once in a while, you can too. Most people here couldn't care less if 'your' was used instead of 'you're', but that 'giant wall of words' to quote another poster was freaking annoying.

Funny how you can play the grammar (not punctuation) card as a retort when called out...

But it's the internet, so nobody really cares. Don't like it? Ignore it and move on.

Props to the humorous way it was called out, I got a chuckle out of it.

I am not going to touch the BAMA part of your statement as I have no firsthand experience.

However,
Are you surprised this thread blew up?
Every tuning thread does.

How come Steeda hasn't had an engine blow? Even the '11-'12 engines that are apparently prone to this issue haven't had problems with Steeda tunes.
When other tuners were rushing to get tunes out & gain market share ... we took our time developing these tunes, essentially bringing a safe, reliable & powerful tune to the market.

We give the customer the piece of mind that our tunes won't precipitate damage & that their investment is safe when the choose Steeda.

Best Regards,

TJ

I view American Muscle and Bama as the Wal-Mart of the Mustang aftermarket. They offer a wide selection of products with normally good service for the entry level enthusiast.

They sell a lot of low cost cast replica wheels. They fill an important role for many folks. I consider them a positive to the mustang community.

If you want to step it up, then there are other vendors that provide the next level. Steeda, VMP, Hypermotive etc...

I would not under any circumstances every use them (Bama) to provide tuning for my car. Even if it was free.

Well said Sean. I 100% agree to all facets of your comment. "Even if it was free"...none of their stuff, esp their tunes, will touch my car.

That would be INSANE if they are truly turning off the knock sensors. That cannot be true. Engines could be blowing up left and right.
If that is the case, they would have lawsuit after lawsuit, but they are probably protected because of the "fine print".

I'm sorry to hear you're unhappy with your Bama tune. Just because the log is showing "0" Knock does not mean that your knock sensors are turned off. This could mean a bunch of different things. Your tune could be conservative, you really could be getting 0 knock, your sensors could be pulling from individual cylinders or many other things. It's very unfortunate that this thread has gone this far off of incorrect information.

I want to assure you that Bama does not turn off the knock sensors. Bama's Race tune has the knock sensors turned from pulling globally to pulling timing from the individual cylinder. When you do this it doesn't show up with the normal knock sensor value. When the Bama team logs your tune, we can watch it pull timing from each individual cylinder. If someone is having an issue we set it back to global so we can see it within the logs but to help optimize the tunes having it pull out timing from the exact cylinder can help.

Hope this helps. Feel free to give the Bama team a call with any questions. They will be glad to get you squared away and answer whatever you can throw at them!

-Dan
