Anyone have the Ford P-Springs (1 inch drop) without other mods?

Looking at these for a small drop in height but not too much. Also would like to tighten up the body roll just a tad but nothing too major.

At $180.00 they seem pretty reasonable and with the small 1 inch drop all around I should be fine using the stock shocks.

Any thoughts? Worth it?

Ghost223,

You hit the nail right on the head! With a small drop(1in) you should be able to get away with using the stock struts/shocks. The only way your struts may be a little sloppy is if the car has high mileage. I say this because when the stock strut is used to the stock spring rate, then you though a much stiffer spring rate at it, in some cases it can become bouncy!

I hope this make your decision a little bit easier!

Hit me up if you have any questions or need further assistance!

I have them, but installed Koni Yellows at the same time so the ride is totally different.

Will I need an alignment after install?

Did everyone do the install themselves?

I did it myself...on base, but I had a lift.
Mine were installed with stock everything else except the springs initially.

Then I added all the other mods.

I bought the SVE springs from LRS, $129 shipped to my door. These springs are the FRPP p-springs just sold by SVE. Pic for proof.

Spring says ford racing on it. They're great, slight drop and better handling with less body roll!

CRAP, well was just about to order when the wife said make sure this won't interfere with any part of the warranty. We had a deal when I got this to maintain the warranty due to me spending more time fixing my last Vette then time spent with her. Chicks right

Anyway after reading about some hassles and denials to fix other suspension parts after springs were installed has led me to wait. Turns out there is proof that springs can cause extra stress on other parts so fighting a dealership won't work. Not worried about the springs doing any damage just that something unrelated will break and then be denied to be covered.

I guess I could get them installed at the dealership for 6 X the cost...... No thanks.

Oh well, not that the handling now is bad just a bit floaty for my taste. I will have find another mod to do

I too installed these springs, car looks much better and it did not make the ride harsh at all, feels just like stock. However I also order the maximum motor sports caster/camber plates to make sure there were no issues with the alignment (yes you will need an alignment after the install). The plates are not cheap $350 but for me that's a small price to pay for no tire wear issues down the road. I have the brembo package so I used the stock struts/shocks and have had no issues, the car only had 2k miles on it when I did the spring swap and now 10k miles later I've had zero issues. I checked with my dealer and they told me there were no issues with the springs and they did not impact my warranty at all.

Hope this helps you

How exactly do you know those are the P springs? I can see that they are blue and say Ford Racing. I about to pull the trigger on these I think.

SVE advertises a 1" drop, and now that I have them on my car it is by no means overly aggressive or too low. Seems pretty close to 1" also.
