Anyone get the 2014 GT Track Key yet?

Hi all, just curious if anyone has pulled the trigger on the GT Track Key yet? I know it came out costing more than was expected, but still looks like it offers lots of goodies. Anyone have experiences yet?

The kit is available as of today. Mine was ordered about 10 days ago or so. I was told the "kit" would be here Monday

Track Key Info
http://www.fordracingpartsdirect.com/category_s/523.htm

I am not saying you should buy from this vendor, but the website lists the part numbers and good info.

I bought mine thru my dealer. They charged me $302. As soon as i get back into town I'll have it installed. This along with the Boss side exhaust and my quad tip GT500 axle-backs....should be like the sounds of angels.... dirty slutty angels screaming for sexual satisfaction

I just saw that they have the ProCal tuner so that us 13 and early 14 guys can still use the technology used for the Track Key but have to use a tune in order to do it. Warranty still in tact as well. Pricey though. I might see if I can get a hook up for this and install it myself.

Hope you are correct. I ordered mine on April 7 and spoke with my dealer on Thursday April 24 and then spoke that same day with Ford racing parts tech line. Neither could confirm a release date.

Let us know if you get yours Monday....

Hmm. My 2014 was built March 2013. Guess I won't be getting a red key. Does the procal actually add options to the menu for Track Key or is it just always on?

The Procal is just a tune .. just like any other Tuner .. it does not add features like Launch Control, Pit Lane Speed control, etc ...

My understanding (and very well could be wrong) is that for the Procal you will get the Track key tune. all same features in the tune but its always on just like any tune you load. Unless you revert back to stock

The Trackey tune should provide launch control and lopey idle. Guess we'll find out later this week. If installing the Boss side pipes, leave the restrictor plates out. Heavenly sounds, or is it hellish?

glad to know that my boss 302 with red key will not be a unique feature and a specialty car now since this....maybe we should call it a spec'ed out GT with Boss features.
i guess it was a matter of time.....
im sure the shelby's will be just another car too....one day.

Seeing as the Red Key isn't even a factory option, you should probably untwist your panties. We still don't have a factory forged motor, adjustable shocks, alcantara wheel, or factory side pipes, amongst other things.

If your Boss is a spec'd out GT, even considering the different motor, then all of our cars are spec'd out V6s. Get over it.

Wow, sounds like you are the one with the bunched up underwear. The Boss was marketed with having several "exclusive" features, one of which was the Trackey.

No need to wait for "one day" the Shelby is just another mass produced car now. Its a nice car, I would like to have one, but those that have a 2008 GT500 in a garage with 4 miles on it are going to be in for a surprise one day.

^this.
it was marketed as an "exclusive" and that was one reason why i traded in 2 mustangs for it....but if i knew that all the "features" would be given to the masses, then i would have kept my 2.

Be careful with loose terminology here.

Ford Mustang SVT Cobra Shelby GT500 is a different car than the aftermarket Shelby American cars. The Shelby American cars are closer to the original Shelby cars from the 60s since they are built off-site using Ford Mustangs.

If I had my choice, and I did, I prefer the Ford SVT cars over the SA cars. For SA to build a 2013 that performs as well as the SVT car we bought, it would have cost over $100K instead of $61K (almost twice the price). And, it wouldn't have that awesome 5.8 that has been known to handle > 1000bhp.

Regardless, SA cars seem way overpriced for an aftermarket car. And their accessories, don't get me started on the price for their appearance items!
