Something a lot of people don't think about, getting their current rims changed to another color/finish. It is certainly less expensive than the route I went, and yes, Alcoa's are expensive on their own.

If Ford gave us wheels with offsets that make them flush with the fender, and widths to support tires that will actually hook with 420hp, let alone 662hp, I would fricken consider having my wheels refinished. But they didn't.

I said "current" but should have specified aftermarket. I didn't mean to imply that this is an option on stock wheels (though technically it is, I don't think it's preferable to an entirely different set of wheels for a variety of reasons).

Ah yeah I gotcha. I just realized I've never actually had aftermarket wheels on any of my cars. I bought my 03 GT with TF Chicanes, but took them off immediately and put my 10th Anniversary Cobra wheels (which, funny enough, were powder coated gloss black lol). I liked the Chicanes but the previous owner curbed the living sh*t out of them in a touch less car wash. I sold them and the next owner dipped them black, which actually came out pretty decent. Made me wish I kept them haha

changing the color on my oem ford racing rims will run about 400. might go wtih gunmetal. They will be my off season wheels while the snake wheels will be for show season. maybe lol

Yup, that's how everyone should be with their rides. Although, if one posts a pic of their car on a public forum, they must be seeking some sort of acknowledgment of their ride, be it wheels or otherwise. If it was solely for your own enjoyment, I wouldn't think one would feel the need to post their ride publicly. They would be satisfied with just a nice pic as wallpaper on the PC or mobile phone.

I had a hard time with finding a black wheel I like for my SGM. I found a few charcoal wheels I liked, but ended up with dark stainless. I love the look, at least when I keep them clean

These have just the right offset for 275/40-19s. And the wheel gap with stock TP suspension isn't as bad.

I replaced my stock Boss wheels with the Laguna Seca version, which look 10x better in my eyes. Just the right amount of polished metal and black.

So true. They post, and then get all hurt that folks comment on it. Lol. Stupidity.

I think black wheels look great on the right vehicle. It also depends on tastefully it was done.
Just like the next vehicle quite possibly will be white with blackened chrome wheels. Looks killer.

Nitto Invo 275/35/20 for the front and 315/35/20 in the rear. Just bought a new set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport 265/35/20 and 305/30/20. So they'll be a shorter tire height than the Nitto tires.
