Another Borla Issue.

I had Borla Touring axlebacks installed in the middle of March. A few days ago, I started hearing a vibration coming from the rear. A mechanic determined today that the baffle in the driver's side muffler is bad. I'm waiting for a call back from Stage 3 to get a replacement. After reading that FromZto5 went through I think 3 bad sets, I'm concerned they are having serious quality control issues.

Hit up Borla directly. It's what I did. You will get the issue resolved faster!

Uh oh... What did I start? You guys are all coming out of the woodwork. Just waiting for me? Lol...

Best bet is to contact borla directly. Not your vendor, they will do nothing.

Call borlas direct line, then ask for the warranty department. Chris Baas should be able to help you.

Side note, did you go underneath and recheck your clamps and hangars? You sure it didn't get loose? If it did, that's not a borla issue.

Thanks, guys. I will call Borla today.

I did go under and found nothing. A mechanic had it up on a lift and pinpointed it to the driver's muffler.

I appreciate the advice to call Borla direct. I still haven't gotten a call back from Stage 3. The rep I spoke to yesterday at Stage 3 had this giant yawn as I was speaking to him. Didn't give me a good feeling.

Did they (Borla) tell you that it may be a couple weeks while they were doing some quality control checks on the mufflers? I just heard back from Chris at Borla and they are shipping me a new set as soon as they make sure everything is good with the QC check. This is for the S-types though. Wasn't sure if they were doing this with all there mufflers.

I was working with Steve W. I sent him everything he asked for tonight. I haven't heard back about anything yet. I will touch base again tomorrow. If it's a couple weeks, that's fine. It isn't critical and the noise isn't a constant annoying thing.

Well, the replacement is on the way...7 - 10 days. Borla is going to reimburse me the cost of the install as well. And now I wait and tolerate my car buzzing.
