Personally, I had the 18x8 charcoal AMR's that I couldnt get rid of a shimmy with them. Got rid of em and went back to stockers and no shimmy.

the replicas are always heavier than most other wheels...Id go with F14's or RTR's.

I've had their black FR500s (17x9) for 6 years and they are still in great shape, good quality rims.

I ordered a set of 18x8 Charcoal AMRs to use as winter wheels. They're okay, but the backs of the spokes / inside of the wheel barrel aren't fully coated with the charcoal finish, so you can see the primered metal. Essentially, they just get hit with overspray and are partially covered. The front of the wheel / sides of the spokes are fully covered, though. For $160 a corner, I can't ask for too much, though.

2013,

Your car looks awesome man, a set of black wheels will look sick on your car! I'm confident you'll be extremely happy with either of the choices you listed. However I'm a huge fan of the Gloss Black AMR's on the 10+ Mustangs.

It sounds like we had a couple issues with Charcoal AMR's that I wasn't aware of. Have you guys been taken care of? We'll always bend over backwards to make sure our customers are satisfied. I can assure you that we fixed the over spray on the back of our wheels, Just a few sets came like this from the manufacture. All 3 finishes we carry in this wheel will be 100% painted!

Let me know if I can be of any assistance or if you have any further questions! Our Mustang Experts are here Monday-Friday from 9AM-9PM EST and Saturdays from 9AM-5:30PM EST. If you want to hit them up, their number is 866.727.1266. I can also have one of them call you directly.

This was a response I received from a Customer Care rep on the review of the wheels I posted, which makes it seem normal:

These Charcoal AMR Wheels do have a coating on both front and rear. The rear of the spokes and inside barrel are fully protected with a base coat to prevent corrosion; however, they don't have the metallic charcoal top coat like the front of the spokes. Hope this helps to clear up any confusion!
I'd post some pictures of the wheels I received, but they're at a garage being mounted already. Essentially, the inside of the wheel barrel and the backs of the spokes (facing the hub) were (mostly) a flat-grey, primer-like coating, mixed with the overspray of the charcoal finish.

Mine were also like that, they looked very cheap compared to my old RTR's

They should put a little more paint, even if they have to increase the price by 20$

My AMR wheels (before the car got totalled) came and the backs were coated with a primer looking paint, but they had several defects and chips all over. Needless to say they were extremely helpful and quick at helping me resolve my issues. For the price the AMR wheels are a great deal. Hopefully will be saving up to order a new set for my 2013!

Okay guys. I'm really sorry about this! Can you both shoot me a PM with your order numbers and contact information? I'm going to have my best Customer Service supervisor reach out to you guys and make sure these issues are resolved and you guys are compensated!
