well not trying to bash american muscle/bama cause they are a really good company and i receive good customer service from them most of the time. but thursday makes 1 month that ive been waiting on my revised tune from them since my original one i received from them had a problem. i received the info from them about how to data log and where to send it. i data logged that same day and then sent it to them that night. havent heard anything back since. doesnt seem like it would take that long to re work the tune since it only took a day or so for them to do the original one.

forgot to mention that i have resent it twice. once about 1-2 weeks after and then i did again about right after i posted on this thread.

 

I'm fairly new here but it seems like a lot of recent posts seem to be about problems with AM and Bama tunes. I was planning on going with a Bama tune but to be honest I think now it will be a Steeda tune. They've been around a long time and I can't say that I've ever heard a bad word about them.

no no no im not trying to steer people away from AM, they are a great company. this is the only problem ive had with them and i use them a lot. im sure its just that my email got lost somewhere in cyberspace. i love the company and i plan to continue using them in the future. actually im planning to buy a bbk throttle body from then witch in the next few days and plan to buy long tubes and x pipe with in the next month. bama tunes are way better than steeda's and its rare that you hear problems with the bama tunes. mine is just something i wanted changed that was in the stock tune that they forgot to change when making my tune. trust me their tunes are really good and will really wake up your mustang.

 

Wait what?? Way better?? Do you have some dyno results to share with the class to prove what you type?? Way better to me = 20hp and 5mph in the 1/4.

 

I've always used A.M. as my go to source for parts for my current and previous Stangs because they have excellent customer service and provide quality parts. Absolutely top notch in my book. Bama did a great job of tuning my '12 that I use to have. While I never did any datalogging with them it was never a problem if I had a concern with one of my tunes.

 

On the AM thing I have ordered several things including tunes and have always recieved them very quickly. Very quickly as in wow its on my door step already. In fact I have had noting but good things to say about several vendors round here. Steeda, Sam Strano, American muscle...

 

this is "2011 kona blue"'s dyno sheet for 3 different tune companies. i have never really done any research until now about which tune company was best but it looks like MPT had the best numbers. i was actually surprised since ive always thought bama was the best numbers. either way im keeping my bama tune though.

Sometimes it takes a few days for them to get back to you with a code. We're not supposed to give these out in the open like this as it defeats the purpose.
