Am I the only one?...
Confused on these, so everyone with a V8 is a douch? And so is everyone with a 4 cyl? Good thing you picked a 6 then that must mean your awesome by default
Last time I check fast equaled fun, your comments make you sound like your a jealous little kid.
Oh and an automatic is more fun than a manual. I checked the rule book rule book of fun and am 100% correct on that

Quick lesson here
YOUR car is right
you're tired is right
you are tired is right
your tired is WRONG.
Anyway, no I said that people by default think that sports cars are only v8s yet there are G37s which are v6 and are sports cars, EVOs which are 4cyl and there are GT500s which are v8s, there are sports cars offered with different engines that's what I'm saying. Go back to school and take some reading comprehension classes please!
Your horrid spelling brought my IQ down 20 points

Hope I did not really drop your IQ 20 points, can't be much left
No you clearly stated everyone with a v8 or 4cyl is a douch and said nothing about them all being sports cars.
I got the v6 with performance package, (due to financial limitations), out the door for a bit over 23k....car is very fast ( it's times are what the old muscle cars used to make in the 60's/70's)..that being said yes I admit i would have loved to have been able to get the v8 but at the time it would have been around $8,000 more comparing apples to apples. I really miss the v8 sound though the 6 isn't bad with the Ford Racing mufflers. Also, it's harder to get yourself in trouble with the v6...too many people can't handle all that low end torque with the 8 and lose control and wreck their cars. On the flipside you also have to work the v6 harder to get the best times. At my age, I realize no matter what you are driving there will always be someone who has a faster car so I have learned to just be happy with what I have...it's a great car no matter which engine you have...both have their pros and cons.

Denial............ The OP is a V8 guy living in a V6 body and he just won't admit it. At his age I'm sure Insurance cost has a lot to
do with his purchase.
do with his purchase.

It's not so black and white. Every option has its pros and cons and these need to be addressed before you support it/hate on it. To so starkly defend your V6 and then go on to say someone with an automatic GT doesn't know what they're doing with their life is ridiculous.

Seriously, I own a older v8 and have also owned others as well. (04 Mach 1, jeep Cherokee v8. Big whoop.) Sadly, i lost interest in mustangs after my 2004 Mach 1 was totaled by a car wash attendant the same year.
Fast forward to 2010.
I was at the dealership helping my brother find a truck. I did not set out to buy any type of mustang or any car that day but still ended up getting a base 11 v6 mustang for 17k financed. I bought it in nov of 10. I was just one of those deals that seemed "good." the car looked attractive, sporty, but not overly aggressive. The price was amazing.
Fast forward to 2012.
I'm too deep in paying on it and spent a good chunk on mods but I often wonder if I should have kicked in a few more bucks for the v8 that day?
However, My payments are ultra low and the gas mileage is great. I've actually driven to the dealership to trade it in, then went back home. The v6 isn't flashy and doesn't get the attention my others did but will still turn a head. I often wonder if I got the GT then what part of my body would I try to sell on the street to get the GT 500. Such a vicious addiction. Lol
However, i have chosen to pay it off and save my coins. The v6 will be paid off around the time the next generation mustangs are here!
Mid life crisis will be upon me and i will have all the excuse to buy a new mustang. Guess which one I'm getting?

Stopped reading at fastest. I've mentioned SEVERAL times that I don't care for that.
Fun > fast
I live in the Florida Suburbs, we don't have bad traffic here so "stop and go" isn't an issue here at all either to those who mentioned Auto > manual.
A sports card shouldn't be an automatic yet some will say a sports car shouldn't be a v6 haha but look at all the tuners"ricers" and they're all 4 bangers and sixxers.
I don't really get the point of bashing " even though I bash the automatic tranny yes haha " but you can still state your opinion on what you like
To the v8 guys, congrats that you're happy buy dont go gloating around thinking you're the best, you are the fastest yeah but your doucheness makes you worse than a 4 cyl honda owner who thinks they can beat a gt500

These threads get tiresome at times. As a former a V6 owner I completely understand everyone's point of view.
In the end I think its just psychological. COnsumerism and marketing and all that. The Mustang is always better when its a little bit faster - right? I guess not necessarily, but I guess so in some more 'animal' instinct.

G37's are spoty but I would not call them out right sports cars.. How many have you seen on track days(you know that thing people with hondas even do). Evo's, Sti's and 350/370's are import tuner(not to be mixed up with asian muscle(supra, 300tt, R34s)) cars.

You're giving this kid exactly what he wanted when he started this post, ATTENTION. Regardless of technical merit, he ain't really HAPPY with his V6, that's why he started this post. To try and seek reassurance from everybody to make him feel better. You're just encouraging him to continue this. One day before he posted this, he posted the exact same thing in a completely different topic, and then came back again one day later with this entirely new post. In the first post, he admitted he was just a kid, like 20 or something, and couldn't afford the GT. Fair enough, but really get past the "I'm 20, seeking emotional reassurance" bit and MAN UP. You got what you got.

I couldn't afford the GT? a brand new base GT was 25k out the door at my dealer...I paid 26k for my v6. I am happy with my choice, don't say things I never said like "I couldn't afford a GT" that's just downright lying. I'd be upset too if I lived in a gloomy city like Setattle. You're soooo right I hate the v6. Go **** yourself.
You could have bought a GT according to your post, but due to your age the Insurance would have been a major problem.
If I had a choice of the v8 base at the same price as a more loaded v6, it would have been no contest...v8 all the way. Gas mileage is moot for me as I have had the car for almost a year and have 2675 miles on it...it is strictly a nice weather car. Right now I plan on keeping it till I drop, but...if I came into some spare cash believe me i would have a v8....though I do like the front end of my 12 v6 better than the new 13's...just my opinion...
