Gotta be an SE, not the restyle; too much Cobra stuff. As I remember, they changed taillights on ther '94-'98 as well.

Just my opinion, but there are far too many changes here for it to be an SE.

I must admit, I thought we'd see a Mach1 before the '10, but with time running out, I'm betting the mules (all of them) are the '10.

I see a front splitter that's more aggresive than the current GT500.
Next gen Cobra R I hope.

Do you mean by way of insinuation, that there would be another 4-5 years worth of parts options for the 05-09 S197 platform? For example, some '06 owner could decide he wants to change out his front facia to a 2011 design?
Justin ! what I mean is..The 2010+ (S-197) will remain, until the 2014.5 model year.

In other words. Were not going to see an all new platform change, until 2014

Will either get a 2014.5 or 2015 model. Which will also mark the Mustang's 50th anniversary.

I simply think its just a restyling of the light housings, its not the 2010 cobra or gt or v-6, why, common sense tell you this, why in the world would the have a mule for the 2010 model car and the 2009 options or pic arent released, guys im sorry to say but all this camo is to hide the chrome light housings, in the back shots they look like sequential lights. they have to do these things so they can compete with the other big 2, Sorry to say but with all this BS ford is pulling, the Camaro is calling my name within the next year or two, although i will say this, in the next five years, i will, and quote i will have a Vapor GT500 in the Garage Bay

I agree with many others here i don't see Ford changing mirrors, tail lights, interior headlights bumpers for a 1 or 2 year run before the next body style or simply for an SE. As far as the Cobra being on the grille and not on the steering wheel it should not matter its only a mule. I remember seeing the first GT500 mules and they had GT grilles and a cutout on a stock GT hood. I also feel unlike the 05' launch that the GT500 will be availible on the new body style right away like it was in the 98 to 99 switch. Unlike the current gen Ford does not need to redesign the whole car over again I bet the next GT500 will be mostly carry over parts from the current car with minor tweaks here and there for refinement. Just my .02

Or they could just be testing the head light configuration and using a gt500 (current gen) prototype car (IE. look at the hood cover openint). Or they are just using the fascia/grill because it is the same angle as the next gen (more probable).

I sure hope so! It kinda ticks me off how Ford ditched the SVT Cobra name to put Shleby's name all over the car. I think it insults modern Mustang owners. I think the SVT Cobra has as much of a reputation as Shelby oh yeah and more importantly Shelby had nothing to do with the car! How much do you figure Ford pays Shelby (the man loves money) to put the name on the car. Perhaps Ford should save that money and put it into a better product. If the car performs well it won't need a silly monkier it will sell on it's merits. Sadly, I think the Shelby name will be with us for a while though....

Its just a wrinkle in the camo mesh, not an emblem.

This is as bad as the Virgin Mary in the potato chip stuff.

Although it is a GT500, splitter and breakaway mirrors that earmarked every SVT product before the 07 GT500. There is no mystery that the GT500 continues on exacty as it does now with the 2010 model.

I dunno about that. It doesn't look like a wrinkle in the camo to me. It seems way to clear to not be a Cobra emblem. I agree that the GT500 will be little changed i bet maybe a 20-40HP boost, perhaps some new options. The unique breakaway mirrors were only used on the 03-04 Cobras. 93-01 Cobras had regular Mustang mirrors.
