Alarm Sysytem

Ok so my car already has the security package when I purchase it, and I wasnt even thinking about it when the dealer offered a free alarm system with the deal. So I had it installed yesterday, and im sitting there thinking ok if the car already has some anti theft such as, motion detectors, wont start without my key, will even sound the alarm if the door is opened.

Exactly what are they going to add upon when putting this alarm system to it. After getting it back, I have nice little red light flashing by the headlight switch, no thundering voices saying "back away from the car!" what the flux

So any idea what this actually did to help protect the car from it already had, other then a slight break with my insurance.

I think it was FREE, or at least I hope it was or they duped you out of some installation charges. There was no reason for them to install anything on your car. Unless they added remote start (Auto tranny) or an iPod app that updates the status of your car for you, you got a flashing LED.

To go with the red flashing thing you get even without the security package.

The dealer had a wizard cast a spell on the car that will turn any thieves into frogs.

The OEM alarm will get you the insurance discount so I would say that you net nothing from it.
